Join the Journeying Women for four days/three nights of slowing down, rest and rejuvenation.  Give yourself permission to let go of all of life’s demands and re-connect with who you truly are.

What’s included:

  • Expect nourishing ayurvedic food, guided meditations (no experience required), including a sound meditation, breath work, yoga, mindfulness activities/practices, psycho-educational wellbeing workshop sessions, infra-red, ice baths and beautiful accommodation and recreational spaces including a 22 metre infinity lap pool. 

  • We provide an inclusive, welcome, safe and nurturing space. Workshops are inclusive, supportive and are aimed at increasing connection with your inner wisdom. This retreat is not about sharing your personal life story, but about re-discovering what truly matters to you whilst learning about wellbeing strategies that you can integrate into your daily life, connecting body and mind. Whether you come alone or with a friend, rest assured that we will be providing a space where every participant feels a sense of belonging, being heard, seen and supported. 

  • Each day will offer a schedule of activities which you can opt in to or out of. It is not expected that you must attend each session. You can set your pace for your retreat.

  • Meals will be shared with the group, but the retreat scheduled provides space for time on your own if needed. Sleep and rest is important for optimal wellbeing and performance, so the retreat schedule allows abundant opportunities for that.

  • Massages and energy healing can also be booked during your stay. Details will be sent closer.

  • Access to the infrared and Ice bath each day - shared with other guests

  • Access to the freshwater infinity pool

You are encouraged to stay on the SOMA grounds during your stay to optimise your “retreat” from all the stimulation of the outside world.

The use of your devices is personal, however , we encourage you to make a plan for minimal use during your stay and to let family and friends know you are “on retreat” so you can fully immerse in this gift of time to yourself.

Due to the nature of Soma being located in the hinterland, our wifi can be a bit temperamental at times.

Byron Bay has always been regarded by the Indigenous Australians as a powerful place for healing and transformation, which is why people from all over the world are called to visit this region. Our intention behind Soma was to create a purpose-built oasis where people can escape from the hustle of the modern world and be immersed in an inspirational environment that would inspire their mind, heart, spirit and senses. Our sacred space that took many years of dreaming, planning and devotion to bring to life.

THE LAND Soma is 22 acres of luscious land for you to explore. It is a jewel in the region. It becomes a ritual to walk along the path from the house, through the forest and down to the yoga dome. Our workshop sessions will be held in the yoga dome. While the gentle amble to the relaxation pods next to the Lotus pond sets you up for rest or reading.

SOMA Address: 221 Kennedys Lane, Ewingsdale NSW 2481. Approximately, 40 minutes from Ballina Airport.

Maximum of 16 guests plus facilitators. This is a women only retreat.

POOL The SOMA pool is a freshwater infinity pool with less chlorine than what comes out of your tap. You are requested to rinse off any sand in the outdoor shower prior to enjoying the pool. Pool umbrellas are provided for shade. Pool towels are provided.

BEVERAGES Tea and Coffee - A range of teas are provided. Plunger coffee is available. SOMA is a no alcohol retreat.

BEDROOMS - There are 10 rooms at Soma, two downstairs and 8 upstairs. There are 8 king beds and 2 rooms containing 2 singles. Each room is furnished with Cultiver linen and towels and a comfortable bed with floor to ceiling doors / windows with soft curtaining. You can book a KING ROOM FOR YOURSELF, OR YOU CAN CHOOSE TO SHARE YOUR KING BED WITH A FRIEND (FOR A REDUCED RATE)

A/C Each room has its own A/C and heating system. Its requested that heating and cooling is turned off when not in the room.

TRANSFER POLICY

We understand plans change. There are NO Refunds available within 120 days of this booking. You can transfer your booking to a friend or family member. We hope you understand that due to the cost of administering any changes to participants names will incur an administration cost of $80.

Your facilitators -

Susanne North - is dedicated to supporting children, women, and families through all seasons of life, helping them thrive from birth to the empty nest. Holding certifications as a Family Coach in Simplicity Parenting, Positive Psychology, Waldorf/Rudolf Steiner early childhood education, and a Meditation and Mindfulness teacher having trained with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield and is also a certified Transformative Breathwork Teacher.

Sheena Polese - is committed to the growth and development of women, enabling them to live a fully engaged life, engaged with their purpose and overcoming their struggles, perceived and real. Sheena holds a Masters in Science, Psychology of Coaching, Certifications in Adult Development and numerous psychometric tools and has a keen interest in human behaviour and how each individual is on their own journey to pursue getting their emotional and psychological needs met. Sheena uses a range of practices in her facilitation and coaching and incorporates both evidence based approaches and eastern practices of reflection and meditation.
